BOTHELL — Investigators are asking for tips after an attempted child luring in the Bothell area Monday.
The incident was reported about 3 p.m. near the intersection of 196th Street SE and 24th Drive SE, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
A 12-year-old girl was walking home from Skyview Junior High School when she was approached by a man, Ireton said.
The man reportedly jumped out of his pickup, grabbed the girl and yelled, “Boo!,” Ireton said.
The man drove off when he saw other students in the area, Ireton said.
He was described as white, in his mid-40s and about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-11. He had gray medium-length hair and a gray beard. His truck was tan with a standard-sized cab.
Anyone with information should call 911.
