TOPPENISH — About 150 more low-income families will have affordable housing as officials prepare to break ground next week on a $7 million project.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports public and private sources came together to fund Toppenish Family Housing, which is expected to open under the Yakima Housing Authority in spring 2016.
Planning for the project started in 2013 in cooperation with the Office of Rural and Farmworker Housing. It’ll house up to 126 workers and their families in three- and two-bedroom units.
