EVERETT — Southbound traffic on I-5 between Marysville and Everett was snarled late Wednesday morning after a pickup truck rolled onto its side, blocking two lanes and part of a third.
All lanes were cleared by just after noon, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The accident occurred just north of the Snohomish River. Traffic slowed to a crawl and backed up to 88th Street in Marysville.
Medic crews from Everett and Marysville were on the scene.
The driver, a 49-year-old Marysville man, was taken by ambulance to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. His injuries are not believed to be serious, Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said.
“We were fortunate no one else seriously injured,” Leary said. “It could have been a lot worse.”
At least one other vehicle was struck by the pickup before it rolled over, Leary said.
