SEATTLE – Three Snohomish County men were sentenced in U.S. District Court on Friday for their involvement in a major heroin and cocaine ring.
Edgardo Colosio-Dussan, 32, of Everett was sentenced to more than 11 years behind bars. He’s a Mexican citizen and likely will be deported after he serves his term, the U.S. attorney’s office said.
Two Lynnwood residents received less severe penalties.
Jaciel Oranga Zuniga, 37, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, and Osvoldo Soriano-Silva, 21, got nearly six years behind bars.
The three were among 19 people arrested in June in connection with two drug rings.
The investigation of the Colosio-Dussan drug ring included use of wiretaps. Defendants were recorded discussing the drug distribution business, court papers said. Federal agents watched and videotaped them obtaining new supplies of cocaine and heroin, with the drugs being transported in black plastic lawn bags and heavy backpacks.
The organization was sophisticated. At least three “stash” apartments were rented to keep the illegal drugs out of their homes, according to court papers.
