BEND, Ore. — A transient who was caught having sex with an incapacitated woman was sentenced Wednesday in Bend to 20 months in prison.
The Bulletin reports Leon Joshua Hopper, 37, had been charged with rape and sexual abuse, but prosecutors dropped those charges in return for his guilty pleas to coercion, strangulation and publicly indecency.
Police found the two in July in a field and said the woman was unresponsive and physically helpless.
