Transit agency elects officers

Snohomish County’s main transit agency has a new set of leaders.

The Community Transit board on Thursday elected new officers for the next year.

Mukilteo City Council member Cathy Reese will serve as chairwoman. Lake Stevens Mayor Lynn Walty and Edmonds City Council member Richard Marin were elected vice chairman and secretary, respectively.

The agency provides bus service to most of Snohomish County and commuter bus service to Seattle.
