EVERETT — Two people were injured Thursday night following a hit and run on I-5 in Everett, state patrol said.
Around 8 p.m., a Chevy Colorado was headed north on I-5, just south of Boeing Freeway, when the driver crossed into another lane, according to the Washington State Patrol. The Chevy hit a Toyota RAV4, causing the Chevy to roll onto its side and come to a stop in the middle of the freeway lanes. The Toyota driver, 36, of Marysville, pulled over to the shoulder.
The Chevy driver, 33, of Maple Falls, reportedly fled on foot. About an hour later, troopers located the suspected driver at a nearby Burger King, arresting him for investigation of driving under the influence and hit and run of an attended vehicle.
Both drivers were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, state patrol said.
The suspect remained in the Snohomish County Jail on Friday.
