MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A stolen car with two 16-year-old boys inside hit a Washington State Patrol car during a low-speed chase early Friday morning, officials said.
Nobody was seriously injured in the 1:13 a.m. collision, trooper Christina Martin said.
The chase started on northbound I-5 in Shoreline when a trooper ran an Acura’s license plate through dispatch and learned it had been reported as stolen, Martin said. The car left I-5 at 236th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace. The Acura ran into the passenger side of a second State Patrol car as the pursuit continued along Lakeview Drive near Lake Ballinger.
Two troopers in the car that was hit and one of the teenage boys were taken to Harborview Medical Center as a precaution, she said. All were released later that day. Both teens were in custody, but no information on charges was available.
