MARYSVILLE – Washington State Patrol troopers arrested 40 people in Snohomish County on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol over the weekend.
Troopers were out in force over the Seafair weekend. Snohomish County troopers focused their efforts on I-5 and I-405. Motorcycle troopers also were assisting with traffic control and enforcement in and around Lake Washington.
Troopers in Snohomish, Skagit, Island and Whatcom counties arrested a total of 79 people on suspicion of impaired driving, State Patrol trooper Kirk Rudeen said.
“And we didn’t have any fatal collisions up here,” he said.
