Truck hits building; no one hurt

SNOHOMISH — A pickup truck slammed into an apartment building Saturday afternoon.

A Ford pickup going north on Lincoln Avenue left the road and collided with a two-story apartment building, Snohomish Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Mike Gatterman said.

The brick-and-wood building stands on the corner of Lincoln Avenue and First Street.

The truck went onto the sidewalk, past the front door and into the corner of the building, Gatterman said.

“It broke through the bricks and through the wall,” he said.

Three people were inside the corner first-floor unit at the time of the blow.

Nobody was hurt, and the driver of the pickup was taken into custody, Gatterman said.

A second vehicle was also involved in the incident
