SEATTLE — A truck driver making a delivery of potato chips to a north Seattle grocery store backed into a man about 5 a.m. Friday at the loading dock.
Police say the driver and a store employee who returned to the truck to start unloading discovered the man pinned by the truck.
The fire department said the man was unconscious and unresponsive when he was taken to Harborview Medical Center. He appeared to be about 35 years old.
Witnesses told KOMO-TV that it appeared the victim is a homeless man who got behind the truck as it backed slowly into the loading dock.
Police said the driver cooperated with investigators and showed no signs of impairment.
