LYNNWOOD – Police have arrested two people wanted in connection with a prescription drug ring that officers suspect has been operating on the Tulalip Reservation for more than 15 years.
Gary Chambers was arrested Friday at the Amberwood Village Apartments in Lynnwood after someone called the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force tip line, according to Sgt. John Flood of the task force.
Gary Chambers’ wife, Donna Chambers, was arrested Thursday in Lynnwood after an employee at a check-cashing business recognized the wanted woman’s name from a Herald story, according to Lynnwood Cmdr. Bryan Stanifer.
Chambers had come into the business Wednesday to cash some checks she had from her fireworks stand. The clerk called police, who confirmed that Chambers was wanted on a federal warrant. When Chambers returned the following day to pick up her money, the clerk called police and Chambers was arrested, Stanifer said.
The Chambers, along with two other people, have been charged in federal court with selling large quantities of Somas, Oxycontin, Vicodin, Percocet and marijuana from the reservation and in Marysville.
