LAKE STEVENS – Two people were injured when a van ran into a pickup truck towing another car on Highway 92 near Lake Stevens Sunday morning, knocking the pickup and the towed car into a ditch, the Washington State Patrol reported.
A 46-year-old Everett man driving a van pulled onto westbound Highway 92 from 99th Avenue NE about 10:25 a.m., hitting the westbound Ford pickup driven by a 28-year-old Everett man, according to the State Patrol. The truck and the car it was towing broke through a guardrail into the ditch, landing on their top, troopers said.
Both men were taken to the Colby campus of Providence Medical Center in Everett. Their condition was not available Sunday.
The accident was caused by the failure of the van driver to yield, according to the State Patrol.
