MARYSVILLE — Two drivers were injured Tuesday afternoon in a head-on collision along Highway 9.
The collision occurred about 5 p.m. when a northbound Buick Regal driven by 51-year-old Dawn Marie Bostic of Lake Stevens crossed the center line into southbound lanes near the highway’s intersection at 60th Street NE.
Her car struck an oncoming Ford Expedition driven by David P. Wingen, 65, of Mount Vernon, Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said.
Both vehicles went into a ditch. One driver suffered a head injury and the other driver suffered an arm and chest injury, Leary said.
Medics drove the drivers to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, he said.
Their conditions were not known late Tuesday.
The State Patrol closed the highway for about 20 minutes.
