MALTBY — A house fire in Maltby Sunday afternoon sent the occupant to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Neighbors at a mobile home park reported the fire in the 8700 block of 206th Street Southeast at about 3 p.m.
Before firefighters arrived, two neighbors pulled the resident out of the single-wide mobile home.
Firefighters quickly put the fire out, which was contained to a small area in the home, said Battalion Chief Mark Toycen of Snohomish County Fire District 7.
Firefighters from Monroe and Woodinville also responded to the alarm.
The resident, a man, was sent to Harborview in serious condition due to burns, Toycen said.
One of his rescuers was sent to Evergreen Health Medical Center in Kirkland because of smoke inhalation, he said.
