STANWOOD — A Camano Island man was rushed by helicopter to a Seattle hospital Thursday night after a Jeep slipped off the road down an embankment, rolled and hit a tree.
An Arlington woman, 22, also was hurt in the crash, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. The woman was taken by ambulance to an Everett hospital.
The Jeep crashed about 6:45 p.m. in the 6600 block of 268th Street NW, Hover said. Both the man and woman were thrown from the vehicle. It wasn’t clear who was driving.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in serious condition. Detectives believe speed and alcohol were factors in this crash.
