HILLSBORO, Ore. — Two Vancouver, Wash., men who dressed up as bank guards and posted an engraved “out of order” sign over the slot for night deposits have pleaded guilty to stealing hundreds of dollars from customers who gave them their money.
The two offered to make deposits for the customers of a Wells Fargo office in Tigard on Aug. 15.
Police say they wore blue uniforms and had security badges, identification cards and guns.
The two are Sterling Hooten, 20, and Randall Theil, 19. They have been sentenced to 30 days in jail, three years of probation and $924 in restitution after pleading guilty to identity theft and theft.
