Two shot dead outside Edmonds apartment; two sought

EDMONDS Police were looking for two men after two others were shot and killed outside an apartment complex here.

One man was found dead shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday night when police responded to a report of fireworks outside the Village Apartments, and a second man died after being taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, officers said.

Customers at nearby Scotts Bar and Grill moved away from windows and remained calm after being told not to leave for a time, a manager said.

Police said they were looking for two men in a white 1997 Nissan Sentra, Washington license 586RQN, that was seen leaving the area after shooting.

As of early Thursday, no weapon had been found and language difficulties were complicating the investigation, police spokeswoman Debbie Smith said.

“Its still very sketchy,” Smith said. “We havent got the full details yet from the witnesses.”
