SEATTLE — Police say two teenage boys were shot and wounded outside the Rainier Apartments in south Seattle and the shooter remains at large.
Police spokesman Jeff Kappel told KOMO-TV that the youths — 16 and 17 — were shot about 7:40 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Cloverdale Street.
Seattle Fire Department spokeswoman Sue Stangl said both victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center and were expected to recover.
The Seattle Police Department’s gang unit was investigating. It was not clear exactly what prompted the shooting.
