LONDON — The U.K. government has warned people against taking outdoor exercise in the afternoon as a layer of smog has formed over the British capital.
A high pressure system lingering over the United Kingdom is forecast to draw high levels of ozone and polluting particles across England and Wales. Several monitoring stations across London were displaying moderate or high levels of pollutants Friday morning.
The capital has enjoyed unseasonably warm temperatures in the run-up to Easter.
