Army Sgt. Princess C. Samuels, 22, Mitchellville, Md.; died Aug. 8 in Taji from indirect enemy fire; assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
Army Spc. Zandra T. Walker, 28, Greenville, S.C.; died Aug. 8 in Taji from indirect enemy fire; assigned to the 4th Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Aviation Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
Army Staff Sgt. Paul B. Norris, 30, Cullman, Ala.; and Army Spc. Kamisha J. Block, 20, Vidor, Texas; died Thursday of noncombat causes in Balad; assigned to the 401st Military Police Company, 720th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas.
Army 1st Lt. Jonathan W. Edds, 24, White Pigeon, Mich.; died Friday in Baghdad of wounds from an explosive and small-arms fire; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Ga.
Army Capt. Michael S. Fielder, 35, Holly Springs, N.C.; died Sunday in Baghdad of noncombat causes; assigned to the 248th Medical Detachment, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 44th Medical Command, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, N.C.
