A new forecast from the folks at the FiveThirtyEight blog of the New York Times says Democrats are about even money to lose seven seats in the U.S. Senate this fall – and there is an 11 percent chance they lose the majority to Republicans.
In the analysis, Washington’s seat stays Democratic. It shows Sen. Patty Murray with a 56 percent chance of holding her seat, or, said another way, it gives Republican Dino Rossi a 44 percent chance of unseating her.
