The Senate just passed the newspaper tax break on a 46-2 vote.
Bond measures are moving, levy fixes are moving. Everything is moving except the 937 legislation that appears to have been parked permanently for this session.
Earlier today speeches were made on the newspaper tax break and a roll call vote about to start when the bill got set aside.
Now, will Brown lift her foot off the bill to create an aerospace institute in Snohomish County.
This legislation is cast as a means of signaling to Boeing Co. and the rest of the aerospace industry that the state is serious about helping them survive. Brown doesn’t like the fact Edmonds Community College will serve as the initial home.
