EVERETT — A hearing to approve final regulations for seven high-density areas of southern Snohomish County zoned as urban centers has been postponed until next week.
A final County Council vote could take place during the hearing scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The complex urban-center rules could have significant impacts on hundreds of millions of dollars in future development. Factors under discussion include requirements for affordable housing, mass transit and a maximum 18-story building height.
Other debate has focused on the process for notifying the surrounding community about a proposed development and how much influence surrounding cities and towns have on the design.
