EVERETT — In preparation for its next deployment and departure from Everett, the USS Abraham Lincoln is on a sea trial this week.
The aircraft carrier is scheduled to return to Naval Station Everett by the end of the week, said base spokeswoman Kristin Ching.
“All of our ships do leave the pier quite often for sea trials and other training while they are in port,” Ching said.
The Lincoln, which has been a fixture in Everett for 15 years, is set to leave this year for a deployment and then head to the East Coast for a long-term refueling of the ship’s nuclear reactors.
