OLYMPIA, Wash. — For the third time this year vandals have spray painted the Capitol building in Olympia.
The State Patrol says anarchist symbols and anti-war graffiti were discovered last Wednesday evening. Troopers are checking surveillance cameras to investigate.
Anarchist symbols also defaced the building in March and during a May Day protest.
A state official, Jim Erskine of the Department of General Administration, says it will cost about $16,000 to remove the latest paint because the sandstone is slightly porous and difficult to clean.
