Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery

Veterans, their families and the public are invited to the Veterans Memorial Cemetery’s 62nd annual Veterans Day service, 11 a.m., Nov. 11 at the Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park, 11111 Aurora Ave. N, Seattle.

At 7 a.m., veterans and Scout groups will help place flags by all of the white marble upright markers in the Veterans section. This will be followed by music provided by the Eagles and Letter-Carriers Band until the service of remembrance begins at 11 a.m. For information, contact Brenda Spicer at 206-362-5200.

Comcast Arena honors Veterans

The community is invited to attend the Comcast Veterans Day tribute on Nov. 11 at the Comcast Arena in Everett, 2000 Hewitt Ave. The event includes breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m. followed by remarks from Comcast leaders and a keynote address by Major General James Collins, Hire America’s Heroes board member. The event concludes around 10:30 a.m.

Lynnwood VFW observance

The Veterans of Foreign Wars will be hosting a Veterans Day service for veterans, their families and the public. It will be held at 11 a.m., Nov.11 at the Lynnwood Veterans Park, 44th Avenue West and 194th Street Southwest. The guest speaker will be Michael Reagan, founder of the Fallen Hero’s Project.

Veterans Day ‘Walk About’ tour at EMC

The public is invited to join Dale E. Hoggins, Cemetery Board Member, and Betty Deebach Gaeng, Sno-Isle Genealogical Society, for a walk around the Edmonds Memorial Cemetery. Every year the cemetery honors the buried veterans with American flags placed on each burial site. Take a tour of all of the flags to learn and share stories of the fallen men and women in the armed forces, 11 a.m., Nov. 11 at 820 15th St. SW, Edmonds.
