Kent: Tahoma National Cemetery’s seventh annual Veterans Day ceremony, 11 a.m. Tuesday, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent. This year’s program will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the signing of the armistice to end the Korean War. Guests include Gov. Gary Locke and Maurice Sharp, past national commander of the American Ex-POWs and Korean War Veterans.
Seattle: Service of Remembrance, Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park, 11 a.m. Tuesday, The Amphitheater, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle. Retired Maj. Gen. Leslie Burger will give the keynote address.
Stanwood: The American Legion Frank H. Hancock Post 92, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Anderson Cemetery, Pioneer Highway, Stanwood. Legion commander and color guard will be at Josephine Sunday Home at 10 a.m. to honor veterans and widows. A spaghetti dinner is planned for 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Legion Post, 26921 88th Ave. NW, Stanwood.
