Edward Young Kim was found slain March 25 inside a waterfront home in the 7200 block of Picnic Point Drive, police said.
He died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Snohomish County medical examiner.
Police are still investigating his death and declined to release Kim’s hometown Friday. No arrests have been made.
Kim made calls to friends on his cell phone until around 10 p.m. March 24, according to a search warrant filed in Snohomish County Superior Court Friday.
Kim’s mother told detectives her son dropped her off at a Seattle bus station at 6 p.m. He was with a man she didn’t know whom Kim had met earlier at a Seattle-area mall, according to court documents.
The home where Kim was found is next to Picnic Point Park and was for sale for $1.19 million, real estate agent Robin Miller said.
Buyers from Snohomish County made an offer several weeks ago and were in negotiations about repairs to the house, said Miller, an agent for Keller Williams Realty.
The home has been vandalized before, Miller said.
