STANWOOD — A man killed in a collision between a train and farm truck Sept. 27 near Stanwood was 56 and from Mount Vernon, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
Jesus Torres-Aranda died at the scene from multiple injuries, officials said.
The crash was reported around 6:15 p.m. near the intersection of 92nd Avenue NW and Pioneer Highway north of town.
The truck attempted to cross the tracks when it was hit by the train, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reported.
A second person in the truck was listed in serious condition and taken via ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The cause of death was accidental, the medical examiner reported.
