Victim of fatal Silvana crash identified

SILVANA — A man killed in a crash in Silvana on Sunday has been identified as Zachary S. Thede, 21, of Stanwood.

The one-car crash happened about 1 a.m. along Pioneer Highway, a mile west of I-5.

“It appears speed was possibly a factor as the driver hit a guardrail, then struck a telephone pole,” Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said Tuesday.

No other details were released from the ongoing investigation.
