EVERETT — Three men were recorded on surveillance video last month as they stole 12-packs of beer from an Everett grocery store and knocked a woman to ground as they made an escape, police said.
Everett police released the video clips Wednesday as part of their effort to arrest the trio responsible for thefts and assault on the woman, 74.
The incident occurred about 3 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Safeway at 41st Street and Rucker Avenue, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Three men, all described as in their late teens or early 20s, are seen racing out of the store with packages of beer in each hand.
As they exited the store, they knocked the woman to the ground.
Two of the men jumped into a waiting vehicle, which police described as a white Ford Taurus with damage to the rear quarter. As the car was driving away, it clipped the woman and cut her head, Goetz said.
Several people helped the woman as police and medics were called. Two women used scarves to stop the bleeding and cushion the victim’s head. A grocery clerk collected the woman’s things.
