WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. John Warner successfully underwent a nonsurgical procedure Wednesday at Inova Fairfax Hospital to correct an abnormal heartbeat.
Warner, 80, R-Va., was admitted to the northern Virginia hospital Tuesday and is expected to return home this weekend.
“Senator Warner called his office this morning around 11:30 a.m. to say he is doing very well,” said a statement released by his office Wednesday afternoon. “He advised his staff that he passed this morning’s procedure ‘with flying colors.’ “
