WALLA WALLA — The Washington Liquor Control Board cited eight wineries for selling or providing wine to minors during a compliance check in the Walla Walla area.
The Union-Bulletin reported 14 wineries were checked over the weekend and violators face fines and could have their license suspen
ded.
Liquor board spokeswoman Anne Radford said one winery, Dama Wines, is facing a seven-day suspension because of an offense from a similar check in May.
Devin Stinger of the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance said it may offer refresher training to winery operators about when to card customers to verify their age.
