The Washington State Patrol has released a photo of the jackknifed semi that tangled traffic on U.S. 2 for hours Tuesday afternoon.

Trooper Keith Leary reminds skiers headed out to newly open passes Wednesday to be careful out there. Be ready for nasty weather and nasty traffic if there are serious collisions. As always, keep warm clothes in the car in case you’re marooned.
“With the amount of snow that’s forecast here today, people just need to be extremely prepared if they’re going over,” he said Tuesday night.
