EVERETT — A water main break along Rucker Avenue shut off service to nine homes Friday afternoon.
The homes that have been affected are located between 15th and 16th streets, according to the city of Everett. Public works crews were expected to repair the 6-inch cast-iron pipe by early evening.
Once service is restored, it is recommended that homeowners who were without service run their water for up to 30 minutes. The water may appear discolored, but it is safe to drink.
