The King County Medical Examiner on Monday identified two people who died at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after separate accidents Sunday in Snohomish County.
Klajdi Tona, 14, of Seattle drowned in a swimming accident at Flowing Lake. He was in a raft with a sister and jumped into the water to swim to shore, but never made it. His sister rowed the raft to shore, thinking he already was out of the water, and discovered he was missing, Snohomish County sheriff’s officials said.
When she yelled for help, an older brother and another man found the boy’s body at the bottom of the lake. He was airlifted to Seattle, where he died.
In the second incident, Lynn D. Gilbert, 56, of Everett died of severe injuries to his head and torso as a result of a traffic crash. Gilbert’s motorcycle collided with a car at Airport Road and Admiralty Way about 5:20 p.m. He was transported to Harborview, where he died.
