TACOMA — A 49-year-old Yakima County woman accused of supplying deer and elk to a Tacoma man who illegally sold the meat pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Pierce County Superior Court to a charge of unlawfully trafficking in wildlife.
Evelena Bobb of White Swan is free while awaiting trial.
The News Tribune reported that state Fish and Wildlife investigators believe she delivered deer and elk carcasses to the home of Bona Bunphoath. He pleaded guilty last year to unlawful trafficking in fish and wildlife and was sentenced to 30 days of community service and 60 days home detention.
Wildlife agents called him one of the largest illegal wildlife traffickers in Washington state history.
