There’s only one of me but I try to get readers’ questions answered when they come across something confusing/anger-making/mystifying. This morning I got a question from a reader about a sign he encountered telling him to send his business and occupation tax payments to a mailbox in Seattle.
Sounds like a scam or something, but it’s not.
Here’s what spokeswoman Kate Reardon said about that: “Last June we contracted with Retail Lockbox to post and electronically deposit our B&O tax payments. Retail Lockbox is located in Seattle, so payments go to a PO Box there.”
There ya go.
