TACOMA — The wife of a Pierce County firefighter who killed himself while been investigated over allegations he sexually abused their daughters pleaded not guilty Thursday in Tacoma to charges she took part in abuse.
KOMO reported the lawyer for the Eatonville woman says she had no knowledge of any abuse and kicked her husband out of the house when she heard of it.
She faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of tampering with a witness, unlawful imprisonment and criminal mistreatment. She’s held on $100,000 bail.
The sheriff’s office says the Central Pierce Fire and Rescue lieutenant killed himself in June while he was under investigation.
The Associated Press is not naming the couple to protect the identity of the children.
