Michael Trujillo of Everett drove up and down Broadway on Election Day looking for Dino Rossi’s Everett Victory Headquarters. He was looking to make a contribution, but it’s not what you might think.
He already cast his vote for Gov. Christine Gregoire. Trujillo, 61, wanted a Rossi for Governor button.
He’s been collecting buttons, political and non-political, since 1960 when he scored a free button from John F. Kennedy’s campaign. Now he has thousands of buttons. He displays them on fabric board along his stairwell, where political opponents continue to compete years after the last ballots are counted.
