EVERETT — A wind storm is expected to bring gusty winds to Snohomish and Island counties and cause some power outages Monday morning.
Winds are forecast to start kicking up around 9 a.m. in the area, and should start to die down around 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Seattle. Steady winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 40 mph are expected.
The storm is likely to bring rain, but no flooding is expected, Johnny Burg, a meteorologist of the weather service.
“The wind will be a major concern,” Burg said.
The storm is expected to be similar to the October storm that left about 85,000 people out of power in Snohomish County.
