SEATTLE — A late winter storm is bringing snow to the mountains in Washington and rain to much of the rest of the state.
The Transportation Department is requiring chains this morning on Snoqualmie Pass. Traction tires are advised on Stevens Pass.
A National Weather Service winter storm warning for the Cascades and Olympics forecasts up to 15 inches of snow by Friday night.
