STEVENS PASS — A winter storm warning was expected to last through this morning for U.S. 2 at Stevens Pass.
Forecasters around 5 p.m. Saturday issued a warning for the west slopes of northern and central Cascades and the passes. The warning was scheduled to be in effect until 11 a.m. today, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle.
Close to 2 feet of snow in some areas, slush on the roads and difficult driving conditions were in the forecast, the weather service reported.
