GRANITE FALLS — A fatal crash near Granite Falls on Friday was first reported as a hit and run, but now it’s not clear if that is the case.
Detectives are looking for witnesses, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe said.
Around 8:30 p.m. Friday, two vehicles collided in the 15300 block of 84th Street NE, just outside of Granite Falls.
One driver, a 79-year-old Granite Falls man, died shortly after the crash. Two passengers in that car were treated at the scene.
A second driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives are not sure if another car was involved, and would like to interview anyone who saw the crash, O’Keefe said.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office tip line at 425-388-3845.
