MONROE — Detectives are looking for witnesses in Saturday’s fatal U.S. 2 crash east of here.
Washington State Patrol detectives investigating the car wreck that claimed the life of Steven T. Johnson on May 8 are asking any potential witnesses to come forward.
Johnson, 38, of Bothell, was eastbound on U.S. 2 when his 1997 Mazda crossed the centerline near Old Owen Road and collided with an oncoming tanker truck. The cause of the accident hasn’t been determined.
Anyone who may have seen the collision, or what happened right before, is asked to call detective Sgt. Jerry Cooper at 360-805-1192 or detective Curt Ladines at 360-805-1160.
