SEATTLE — A woman who was cooking in her kitchen and her 10-year-old son were wounded by shots fired through two windows of their home in a West Seattle duplex.
A police spokeswoman, Renee Witt, says the 28-year-old woman was shot several times in the chest and a leg Tuesday night, and her son was hit once in the back of his shoulder.
Witt says they were taken to Harborview Medical Center and are expected to survive.
Police are unsure if there were one or two shooters. Witnesses heard 10 to 12 shots.
Witt says detectives have no suspect or motive, but they don’t believe it was a random shooting.
