BOTHELL — Three people, including two young children, were hurt in a car wreck on Highway 522 east of here on Monday afternoon.
A Monroe man was driving a dump truck eastbound on Highway 522 at Highway 9 in unincorporated Snohomish County about 3:20 p.m. when it slammed into a 1994 Ford T-bird that was stopped in the same lane, according to a Washington State Patrol press release.
The Ford’s driver, a Snohomish woman, 28, and two children, a 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl, were rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The woman and the girl were in satisfactory condition, and the boy was listed in serious condition on Monday evening.
The crash blocked Highway 522 lanes in both directions for more than an hour while troopers investigated and crews worked to clear the scene.
