DARRINGTON — A Darrington woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries after she crashed on Highway 530 Friday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The 61-year-old woman was reportedly driving westbound on Highway 530 just north of Darrington. Around 9:20 a.m., she drove off of the road, plowed through a sign and fence, and crashed into a tree, according to a news release from the State Patrol.
She reportedly was not wearing a seatbelt.
The woman was the only person in her vehicle. No other injuries were reported.
Troopers were investigating the scene Friday morning.
Troopers are on scene of a one vehicle single occupant serious injury collision on SR530 near Darrington. Driver was airlifted to Harborview. Roadway is still open. Troopers will be on scene investigating so use caution driving through the area
