MUKILTEO — A woman tried to run over her ex-boyfriend in Mukilteo, then led police on a pursuit with two young children in the fleeing car, according to police reports filed in court.
Police had been alerted early Monday about a man and a woman arguing at an apartment complex in the 4500 block of Harbour Pointe Boulevard. Later, around 9 a.m., the woman, 24, tried to run over the man with a black Hyundai Elantra in the parking lot, according to the reports.
The man dodged the car. He wasn’t hurt. Officers sighted the Hyundai and pursued it at 20 mph above the speed limit on the Mukilteo Speedway. The chase ended when police learned two children, ages 1 and 3, were in the car, without their car seats.
An officer in an unmarked car found the woman had parked behind a McDonald’s, less than 2 miles from the apartment. She was walking away with the kids, according to police.
Officers arrested the Lynnwood woman and booked her into jail for investigation of first degree domestic violence assault, attempting to elude and reckless endangerment.
